Online Safety
Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally each year. Last years slogan was:'Fun and Games - Exploring Respect and Relationships Online".
Globally, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a 140 countries, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe.
In the UK, Safer Internet Day is coordinated by the UK Safer Internet Centre and the campaign sees hundreds of organisations get involved to help start a national conversation about safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.
Bishops Down is participating in Safer Internet each year! This is a nationwide event to focus children on the dangers and issues of the internet, at the same time as celebrating the good that can come from it.
Our Safer Internet days start with an assembly discussing internet safety issues and discussions will take place in year class at an age-appropriate level.
