Employment Opportunities

7th April 2021

Midday Supervisor - Part Time, Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)

Date to Apply:  19th April 2021 or earlier (we reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to this date).
Salary: KR3 - £18,039 FTE - Actual £3,403
Hours: 1hr 40mins per day
Days: Monday to Friday
Weeks: 38 weeks per year - term time only

Midday Supervisors are vital for the smooth running of the lunch period at Bishops Down.  During Covid restrictions the children have been keeping to class bubbles and not using the school hall for the busy lunch period.  This will continue in term 5 and until we return to full service in the school hall.  Currently our MDSs deliver lunches to classrooms,  assist younger children with their lunch and help with clearing away and cleaning table tops.

Please note that when we are back to full service in the school hall you will be required to assist with putting out and clearing away tables and benches - you must be physcially able and fit to do this. You will need to be child focused ensuring children are eating their lunch, assisting them where necessary (especially the younger children), dealing with children who may be upset or anxious and to ensure that lunchtime is enjoyable for all - training will be given.  We are hopeful to be back partially in the hall for term 6 and fully in September.

If you enjoy spending time with children and can think creatively of new ways to enhance their lunchtime experiences, we would love to hear from you.

This position is available from 21st April but we will wait for the right candidate.  You will receive a free school lunch each day.

If you would like to find out more or perhaps visit us before applying please do get in touch with the school on 01892 520114 and ask to speak to Jo Sheldon.
