Medical Conditions in School

If your child has a long term medical condition it is important that the school are informed and regularly updated about it.

The school aims to offer support to these children and the school nurse will help to coordinate information and training for staff members to ensure they are cared for whilst at school.

If your child is at risk of an emergency arising due to their medical condition please ensure a Medical Emergency for Staff Awareness form has been completed and that you have contacted Helen Lawton, the school nurse. The completed forms are circulated to the classroom staff for your child and a copy kept in a file in the staffroom so that information is readily available should an emergency arise. All information is kept in strict confidence amonst staff and will not be disclosed without your permission.
