Teaching Assistant

Are you looking to work within an exciting, creative inclusive and enthusiastic team? Do you want to make a difference to children's education?

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to work within key stage 2,  working to support an individual pupil with additional learning needs.  The successful candidate will split time between supporting as a class TA and an individual on a 1:1 basis. They will have a good knowledge of a wide range of strategies to support learners with additional needs specifically dyslexia and dyspraxia.  This post is linked to High Needs Funding.

This post is for a fixed term (12 months) to commence from the beginning of term in September 2017.

The successful applicant will have proven ability to work on their own initiative and will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all children make outstanding progress in their learning.

The post is 30 hours a week – term time only.

Applications are invited from individuals who have:
Relevant and recent experience of working in a school, preferably in KS2
At least NVQ2
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C+
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Experience working in 1:1 role to support a child with additional needs
Ability and confidence to work with a range of children and confidently manage behaviour
An ability to communicate, work as part of a successful team, take on board advice, use your initiative and meet deadlines
A great sense of humour!

KS2 Teacher

We are looking for a full time, dedicated teacher who can teach Key Stage 2 at Bishops Down Primary School from September 2017. This position would suit a candidate in the early stages of their teaching career or an NQT as we can provide mentoring from our experienced Deputy Headteacher and a comprehensive CPD support package.

This role is for an academic year starting from 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2018.

You must be a good/outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record who can inspire and motivate children of all abilities. A sense of humour and a can do approach are essential.   NQT placement references are accepted.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for the candidate to work within a strong team of talented, supportive and caring colleagues.
