I have many ties with Bishops Down and had always admired the school prior to working there. I used to use Bishops Down as a benchmark to rate other schools against when I was looking for jobs.

I am a parent, a teacher and a governor at the school. Previously, I have played an active role in the PSA and was the chair for a year and a half whilst training as a teacher raising enough money to refurbish the ICT Suite including installing all new machines.

I believe that Bishops Down has a unique feel to it that I wanted to be part of when I became a teacher. The inclusivity and care that the school fosters in its children is inspiring.

My governor responsibility allows me to bring a teachers perspective to strategic level decisions that face the school and being a member of staff I have been given a new perspective on my place of work.
