I retired in 2004 as a secondary school deputy headteacher but I continue to teach on a part time supply basis in local secondary schools. I have lived locally in St John's, Tunbridge Wells since 1980 spending nine very happy years at Sandown Court School (now Tunbridge Wells High) and fifteen equally rewarding years at the Wildernesse School, Sevenoaks where I was responsible for all primary school admissions. In December 2006 I was delighted to be appointed as LEA Governor to Bishops Down School where currently I am on the committee for additional educational needs. I really appreciate being involved in a school where all the staff and parents are committed to encouraging all pupils to perform well in an atmosphere of praise and enjoyment.
